<p> DIED. Benny Hill, 67, zany British comedian whose appearances
on American television in the 1980s created a cult following; of
a heart attack; in Teddington, England. For 30 years, Hill
entertained the TV public with his version of the music hall:
jokes, impressions and sketches, combined with songs and dance.
Hill's bawdy slapstick humor, popeyed leer and knowing wink won
him fans in more than 100 countries, including China and Russia.
Responding to criticism that his skits, replete with skimpily
clad women, were sexist, Hill declared, "If my sketches teach
anything, it is that for the male, sex is a snare and a
delusion. What's so corrupting about that?"
